The Trap Speed method uses the gross weight of the car, including the driver, and the speed at which the car completed the quarter-mile run, which is 1330 feet or 0.405 kilometers.

The Estimated Time method uses the gross weight of the car, including the driver, and the time it took that car to travel the quarter-mile run, which is 1330 feet or 0.405 kilometers.

The Torque speed method uses the torque in foot-pounds times the engine speed in revolutions per minute, RPM, divided by 5,252 to get the horsepower.

The results can also be emailed through the iPhone email application using an automatically filled-in email template.

The Acreage Calculator is designed to supply the number of acres (acreage), square feet, square yards, square inches, square meters, and square kilometers based on the values entered. This is an extremely useful calculator for real estate information.

The word acre is defined as meaning an open field. The acre was approximately the amount of land estimated tillable by one man plowing behind an ox in one day. This explains one definition as the area of a rectangle with sides of length one chain (66 feet) and one furlong (660 feet). In reality, a long narrow strip of land is more efficient to plow than a square plot, since the plow does not have to be turned so often. The word furlong (most commonly used in horse racing) itself comes from the fact that it is one furrow long.

The Heat Index & Heat Category is the Universal App for measuring the perceived temperature.

Because the body normally cools itself by perspiration, when relative humidity is high, the evaporation rate is reduced, and heat is removed from the body at a lower rate causing it to retain more heat than it would in dry air.

This calculator takes into consideration not just the air temperature, but also the relative humidity, giving a good estimate of the perceived temperature when the the air temperature and relative humidity are entered. The heat category is a measurement taken from NOAA’s National Weather Service Heat Index Chart and is used to assist in determining how much caution should be exercised when outdoors for any period of time.

The results can also be emailed through the iPhone / iPod Touch / iPad’s email application using a prewritten template.

The answer is computed for both Fahrenheit and Celsius for convenience.

The calculator is the most effective when the temperature is at least 80 °F / 26 °C and the relative humidity is at least 40%.
