– Inspect highlighted evidence lines and extract up to two key leads per case.
– Choose directives/options that affect tags/meters (risk, credibility, public heat).
– Each choice triggers immediate consequences and may unlock follow-up clues or penalties.
– Manage rewind tokens to undo a critical choice at the cost of future resources.
– Track run state across cases: cumulative consequences, unlocked directives, and persistent run metadata.
– Use Director comments and Daily Directives to steer play and introduce dynamic objectives.
– Win/lose conditions emerge from cumulative meter states and resolved case outcomes rather than single-shot failures.
