About this app
You are the kind of aquarium keeper who notices the small details: a nitrate shift, a missed filter cleaning, a new fish settling in, or a dose that needs to be checked twice. Aquarium Planner & Water Math is built for that careful style of fishkeeping, giving you one local-first place to track tanks, log care, and run the numbers before you act.
Use it when you need a quick answer at the tank: how many gallons a setup holds, how much water a change requires, what a dose should be, how recent test results are trending, or which maintenance task is due next. It supports freshwater, planted, saltwater, reef, quarantine, hospital, breeding, and pond workflows without forcing you into a complicated account system.

Local-First Data
Aquarium Planner & Water Math stores aquarium records locally on your device. Aquarium Pro includes local JSON backup export and restore tools for moving simplified Aquarium records between installs or devices. Backup files include aquariums, water tests, maintenance events, fish, plants, equipment, treatments, water change plans, and achievements. Photos, expense records, and CSV payloads are not part of the current backup package.
Aquarium Pro
Aquarium Pro unlocks expanded limits and advanced tools. The app supports a monthly auto-renewing subscription and a lifetime one-time purchase. Restore Purchases is available for users who reinstall or move to a new device. Existing records remain readable if Pro access changes.
Built for Repeat Care
Aquarium care depends on small, repeated actions: testing water, planning changes, checking equipment, dosing carefully, and reviewing what changed since last week. This app keeps those numbers and records in one practical workspace so maintenance decisions start from better context.
Aquarium Planner & Water Math does not replace species research, quarantine protocol, product instructions, or veterinary guidance. It provides calculations, logs, and reference material to support more consistent aquarium care. Use it tank-side.

Monthly Pro is a 1-month auto-renewable subscription.

Historical description
The Aquarium Surface Area & Volume app provides volume, surface area, and weight information so that you can construct your aquarium to your own specifications. All that is needed to be provided for the app is the dimensions of the tank, i.e. width, radius, depth, etc., as well as salinity.
The answers are presented in both US units and metric. The surface area is top the of your aquarium is where the oxygen diffuses into the water. The volume is the maximum amount of water in inches or centimeters as well as gallons or liters the aquarium can hold. The weight is in US pounds or kilograms as the calculated amount of water plus salinity. Salinity defaults to 1.0, but it can be changed and saved per calculation.
Additionally, there is are the following Converters
1. Area
2. Distance
3. Flow Rate
4. Imperial/US Units to Metric Conversion
5. Metric to Imperial/US Units
6. Pressure Units
7. Temperature
8. Volume
9. Flow Rate (Volumetric: Gallons or Liters)
Temperature Converter for Farenheht/Celsius/Kelvin conversion and a Flow Rate Converter for converting between gallons per minute (gpm), gallons per hour (gph), liters per hour (l/hr), and liters per minute (l/min).
All results can also be emailed through the iphone’s email application using an automatically filled-in email template provided with the app.
All calculations are persistent state and can be saved after closing the app.
