Piston Calculators
The Piston Calculators app is a straight-forward app for calculating engine and piston ratios, volumes, and other useful metrics. There are eight calculators which specifically deal with the piston and engine, two of which are designed for two stroke engines, and eight units converters which can provide timely conversions for metric to standard measurements.
The Piston Speed calculator uses the crankshaft speed and stroke of the engine to calculate the feet per minute and meters per minute the piston travels. The Piston Dome Volume calculator uses the head gasket volume, gasket volume, desk to piston volume, cylinder displacement, and target compression ratio in units of either cubic centimers or cubic cubic inches. The piston compression height calculator uses the compression block length, stroke of engine, rod length, and deck clearance in units of either millimeters or inches. The rod ratio is the rod length divided by the stroke. The Engine Displacement calculator uses the bore, stroke of engine, and number of cylinders in units of inches or millimeters.
